Habitualist is Finally in Private Beta

Feb. 28, 2012 by James Tauber

After floating around as a concept and prototype for a number of years, Habitualist is in private beta and hundreds of people have started using it to track their recurring activities.

The seeds of Habitualist were sown back in 2005 although it wasn’t until 2007 that it was conceived of as a website rather than a standalone app. After an overly complex prototype was built, the project sat on the shelf until early 2012.

Armed with a lot more experience from developing dozens of sites over the last three years, Eldarion embarked on a complete re-write and a couple of weeks later started letting in the first of the private beta testers.

So far the response has been extremely positive. Over the coming weeks, we plan to highlight on this blog some of the features of the site—both existing and upcoming—as we move closer and closer to launch.

We’re inviting more people every couple of days so be sure to sign up on the waiting list.

Habitualist is a great way of tracking the things you want to do on a regular basis, the things you want to turn into habits.
